Deputy Chief Brookman Sr. started his career with the Mazon Fire Protection District in 1990. Thoughout his career Deputy Chief Brookman Sr. held multiple roles within the department including Lieutenant, Captian, Assistant Chief, and Chief. Deputy Chief Brookman retired from the department as Fire Chief in 2017 only to return to the department in 2018. Deputy Chief Brookman Sr. was appointed as Deputy Chief in 2020.
